Excerpt: Nowadays the bookshop is more my hobby. What I really like about working here is the customers. There’s so much freedom here, inner freedom. And that’s got nothing to do with the red light district. It’s just that the people who live here are more natural. Things have naturally changed a lot in the last 10, 15 years. A lot of families have moved away because the children weren’t getting a decent school leaving here. There are simply too many Turkish kids at the schools in this area. Unfortunately the city has turned St. Pauli into a ghetto. ...
