»For me God has no skin colour and no sex.
I actually see Him always as a radiant, white light.«

Excerpt:

A lot of my friends say: Hey, you’re a real womaniser! Then I just say: If that’s what you think. As far as women are concerned, I’m really rather shy, even though I can hide that quite well. I’ve got a friend, an Angolan, and if he sees a woman, he just goes up to her, chats her up and he’s sure to come back with a telephone number. And I go: Hey, man, how did you do that? He just knows how to talk. He’s doing his school-leaving right now.

When we’re at a party, he sometimes says: If you like, I’ll go over and chat her up for you. And I go: Yes, but ... And there he is already, talking to the girl and pointing at you and so on and blah, blah, blah, comes back and: Well, what do you know? She wants to see you later! He’s really good. But any time I’ve really wanted a woman, I’ve got her without his help.

I haven’t got a girl-friend at the moment, although sometimes I’ve got the feeling that I need one. You usually want what you don’t happen to have. When it’s summer, you moan, Oh, it’s so hot! I wish it would snow! And when it snows, Oh I’m so cold. I reckon it’s the same principle in a relationship. When you’ve got a girl-friend, you only see those friends who haven’t got one and how they dance and flirt with all the women at parties. Then you think secretly to yourself, Hmm pity! You don’t necessarily want to be completely free again – but just a little bit.

At the moment I know a few girls, but just as friends. A lot of people think I’m going with them. But we just talk and laugh and watch videos sometimes. I could do that with boys too, but sometimes it’s just better if you know there’s a girl sitting beside you.

On the one hand, I’d like a girl-friend, but on the other hand, I think, That’s too much stress. And you have to invest a lot of time. I see it this way: A relationship is what you make of it. Both of you have to put a lot into it. ...
